‘Dream big but keep ethical goals as there is no margin for error in the pharma industry.’, Mr. Kanu Patel
On 1st December 2022, Mrs. & Mr. Kanu Patel interacted virtually with 135 BPharm scholars they have been sponsoring through FFE. It was Mr. Patel’s vision that inspired FFE to start its first BParm cohort, who are now in their final year of college. The interaction was attended by the donor, scholars, mentors and FFE staff.
Mr. Patel gave an inspiring speech and emphasised on how honesty, integrity, courage, self-awareness and wholeheartedness are key to building character. He also told scholars to work hard, be ethical and build trust. Mr. Patel motivated scholars to support at least one student in future. He said, ‘charity is important for those who are economically backward as they lack the opportunity, so be generous.’
Our scholars Bushra Bagwan, 4th year BPharm scholar from Govt. College of Pharmacy, Karad and Dev Soni, 3rd year BPharm scholar from A.R College of Pharmacy, Anand shared their journey of becoming FFE-Kanu Patel scholars.
Bushra mentioned how the financial support along with the skill training and mentorship program has been very beneficial for her.
Dev thanked Mr. Patel for the scholarship and mentioned how it has helped in reducing his family’s financial burden and stress.
After the scholars shared their journey, mentors Adinarayana Reddy from Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Ms. Manjula Nagaraja from Biocon, Dr. Haum Dutt Gautam and Dr. Tushar Mehta from Ameal Pharmaceuticals shared their experience of being mentors with FFE and how valuable the mentorship program at FFE is. They also mentioned how the mentorship program would help scholars be prepared for their professional journey.
The donor scholar meet ended with the inspiring words of Mrs. Vimla Patel. She motivated scholars to work hard, wished them success and urged them and blessed them to do well in life and not forget the importance of charity and helping those in need.
